MAHAKALA EMPOWERMENT WITH THRANGU RINPOCHE SUNDAY, JUNE 24TH @ 7:00 PM
The Dharma Protector Mahakala is seen as the wrathful aspect of Chenrezig, the bodhisattva of compassion. By destroying negativities and obstacles, Mahakala helps to uphold the Dharma's purity and strength. In addition, he protects individual practitioners from delusion and deception. Mahakala is so important for the Karma Kagyu lineage that Thrangu Monastery Canada performs a daily, a monthly, AND a yearly (New Year's) Mahakala puja.
Kyabje Thrangu Rinpoche will bestow the Mahakala Empowerment (Tib. wang) on Sunday, June 24th @ 7:00 pm. Those who participate in the daily, monthly, and/or yearly Mahakala pujas would benefit greatly from receiving this empowerment.
Rinpoche has not bestowed a Mahakala empowerment in over 10 years. Use this special opportunity to cultivate virtue and benefit all beings. Kindly arrive at Thrangu Monastery Canada by 6:40 pm.
There is no charge for this empowerment. Participants will be allowed to offer khatags and make donations (if desired) at the end of the empowerment.
