Thrangu Monastery is pleased to offer to the public Traditional Tibetan Art Classes, taught by Lama Karma, Master Artist for Thrangu monasteries and temples worldwide. Students are given the opportunity to learn traditional Tibetan art techniques not often given outside of a monastic or apprenticeship program. Students will learn how learn to draw the 8 Auspicious Signs, Buddhas, mandalas, etc. These excellent teachings support students with the visualizations inherent in Tibetan Buddhist practices.
Time: Every Sunday 7:00pm
*No previous art experience is required, however we ask dharma students have a serious commitment to attendance. During retreats and special practices, class times may be changed, please check the weekly schedule.
